In Gooka: The Mystery of Janatris, the main part of the game is a puzzle-solving adventure in third-person 3D perspective. You play as a young and noble Supreme Judge in a medieval fantasy scenario. The plot involves looking for a cure for your poisoned wife and finding your kidnapped son. Of course there is a greater conspiracy aloft and some ancient mysteries to be revealed.

Description:
Test Drive 6 has a variety of single player and multiplayer gameplay options that should please most racing fans. The game is setup where the player begins with a set amount of cash for which he or she can use to buy a car from to use in the races. One can compete in single races or tournaments for which you must place bets on to enter. Other modes include cop chase, where the player tries to arrest other cars (or the other player in two-player mode), and Pink Slip, where the two players race for ownership of the other's vehicle.


The driving physics are actually quite realistic and are different for each of the numerous licensed vehicles in the game. In addition, the player can customize the car's engine, brakes, tires and suspension, which all significantly affect the control and handling of each vehicle. While the driving physics are pretty much true to life, the crash physics are definitely not. There are massive crashes that create flips and wrecks that just wouldn't happen in real life. This, of course, isn't necessarily a negative feature because it helps create a fast-paced arcade-style racing game.
The artificial intelligence of the computer-controlled cars is pretty good overall. The cross traffic will swerve to avoid accidents (unless you turn that feature off) and the racing opponents react realistically to most situations. Opponents will get into accidents and huge pile-ups on their own, as well.

Plot

The hero lost all his stuff from the previous game when his ship is stolen while he's onshore with Milten, Diego, Gorn, and Lester. Presumably this is the source of the orc invasion that was launched on Khorinis during the second chapter. These lands have no physical connection to Khorinis or the ruins of the penal colony. In these mountainous forests the orcs have enslaved the human kingdom with only a few free humans living in the nearly uninhabitable icy northlands of Nordmar and the southern desert of Varant. The hero must decide whether to join the rebellion and stay true to the deposed human king, serve the Orcish usurpers in their quest to topple the last remaining human stronghold, or choose a path that serves his own ends. Throughout the story, he is accompanied by a number of NPCs, some of whom are old friends. While this chapter brings forward friends from the previous title (Xardas, Diego, Milten, Gorn, Lester, Lee, and Vatras) it also introduces two new major characters; King Rhobar the Second (who ultimately was responsible for sending the Nameless Hero to the penal colony in the first game) and Zuben. While the king has a strong past as a bold leader, he now faces a near defeat; his fame on the decline. Zuben leads the Hashishin that inhabit the southern region of Varant.

Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy is a first and third-person shooter action game set in the Star Wars universe. It was developed by Raven Software and published, distributed and marketed by LucasArts in North America and by Activision in the rest of the world. Jedi Academy was released in September 2003 and received positive reviews, achieving an 81% aggregate score.

Jedi Academy is powered by the same version of the Quake III: Team Arena engine used in its predecessor, Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, containing modifications to the Quake code to include lightsaber combat. In a new feature to the series, the player can modify the character's gender and appearance, and can construct a lightsaber by choosing the hilt style and blade color.

The player takes control of the character Jaden Korr, a student at the Jedi Academy under the tutelage of Kyle Katarn. They must complete various missions assigned to them by Katarn and Luke Skywalker. There is a multiplayer mode that allows the player to play against other people over a network.

n the original Grand Theft Auto games--you know, the ones you played on a "computer" with a "keyboard," you had several cities in one game that you could blast around in, causing the usual mayhem, wanton destruction and Borgesian analysis of the substance of reality, and most of that could be done sober. The big appeal of GTA San Andreas, besides inviting strutting white boys from malls across the country into a stylized version of the thug life, is that it combines all the major West Coast cities in one fell swoop, an amazing achievement when you consider the anemic horsepower of the PS2. Yeah, that's right, I'm talkin' smack! But not only did it all fit on one disc without choking the PS2, but they did it without hardly any load times.

Thankfully for us San Fran kids, Rockstar was gracious enough to open up a local office just a few miles away from our fortified compound in Brisbane, and they even had a copy of GTASA for the PC to flash at us like shiny bling last week. I was tasked with heading up to North Beach, where we got a nice little presentation and some hands-on action. This build was on a laptop sporting a mobile version of the 9700 Pro (and using some Omega drivers, interestingly). San Andreas seems to support widescreen just fine, and I didn't notice any slowdowns, despite running hi-res wide--I recall it was 1650x1000. And thing loads incredibly fast. The game itself takes less than ten seconds (with a 3.2 GHz P4 and 1GB of PC3200 on the laptop), outdoor/indoor transitions are instantaneous, and cutscenes load whip-smart.

Rockstar tells us that the games are designed from the start using high-res textures, so they didn't have to re-do that aspect of the game (or worse, just leave it as it is). Everything looks nice and sharp. You won't mistake it for Half-Life 2 or anything, but the combination of nice textures, improved view distance, and better character models makes it above-par for the PC. Unlike the PC version of Vice City, textures load a lot faster. You may recall building facades and pedestrians not appearing very fast when you were moving through the city at high speed, and there still is some of that going on here, but you have to look for it now. And with the much farther view distance, you can see buildings from miles off and drive right over to them. The sky also has a lot more color to it throughout the day/night cycle.
